Sapins video shot in June 2024 | © Copyright OWLAPS

Description

Sapins hosted the 2nd round of the French DHI Cup in 2020. And is one of the black trails inside the 2 Alpes Bike Park. Most of the trail is out in the open with some fast sections through the trees.
As far as the layout is concerned, Sapins is very clearly bike park style. It is a wide artificial trail with plenty of flow and big features. Throughout the descent, you will find high berms, doubles, river gaps and wallrides. For experienced riders who are used to riding black runs, there is no difficulty. What makes this trail hard is how steep it is. You have to keep your head up, spot your lines and keep a good flow throughout. But once you learn the trail it's full send! Keep an eye out for the double berm at the beginning of the run, it's a great way to overtake your mates.
