Bike Check: Vincent Piccolomo’ Scott Genius

Vincent Piccolomo's Scott Genius

Say hi to the new Vincent Piccolomo’s light batmobile! A full black Scott Genius, upgraded with some top components to make it a little stronger, a little bit more enduro!

“I hesitated a lot between the new Ransom and the Genius. On the one hand, I was afraid that the Genius was “too small” for the use I wanted to make of it. And on the other hand, I was afraid that the Ransom would make a little duplication with my Gambler!
Finally, I opted for the Genius with a 160mm fork, and so far I have never regretted my choice!”

Compared to the original version of the Scott Genius 910, the main upgrades are the wheel pair, the fork, and the cockpit. Aside from that and a few other details, the bike remains original.

Here is the complete bike check as Vincent really rides the bike. Some parts such as tires, handlebar and grips are different from the pictures:

The main updates: Mavic Deemax Pro wheels and SR Suntour Auron fork.

Low and high speed compression settings from the Auron RC2.

The frame protection is customized for owlaps riders and includes some subtle details. The IGN layout on the top tube is the same as on the mudguard and it represents the real IGN terrain of Vincent’s favorite spot. Other parts of the Sublimistick integrate little winks to GoPro videos.

We don’t know what you think about this bike build, but Vincent seems pretty happy about it!
